Terry Lu joined Mauck & Baker in September of 2018.
Terry was born in Chicago and received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2006. Following graduation, Terry moved to West Lafayette, IN, where he helped to establish a new Christian church. He also volunteered at a local homeless shelter, worked on projects with Habitat for Humanity, and provided tutoring services to adult learners interested in earning GEDs. Upon returning to Chicago, Terry lived within two intentional Christian communities: one in Evanston and another in Rogers Park.
Terry returned to Champaign, IL, for law school. He graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2013. Terry was a production editor on the Journal of Law, Technology & Policy and a member of the Illinois Innocence Project. He earned a pro bono notation in recognition for legal work performed as a law student.
Prior to joining Mauck & Baker, Terry's professional practice was primarily focused on litigation, but he is motivated to expand into other practice areas to better serve the best interests of his clients.
Terry is currently helping to establish a new Christian church in Uptown. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time outdoors and playing European-style board games.
