Our new communications manager is Stephanie Grossoehme. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in corporate communication. She’s a Chicago native and grew up on the south side of the city near Marquette Park. Stephanie has experience working with nonprofit organizations doing marketing, development and communications work.
Graduate of Olivet Nazarene University’s class of 2015, Stephanie spent her first year out of college doing freelance writing and marketing. From working at a startup company in Wheaton to doing development work for a coffee shop and private Christian high school on the west side of Chicago, she was getting varied experience, but wasn’t ready to continue freelancing long-term. “I was getting some useful experience but felt that I could best learn the ropes in my field by devoting myself full-time to one organization. I wasn’t getting the depth of experience that I wanted and found myself just barely scratching the surface of different skills within my industry.”
Now, Stephanie is diving in headfirst at Mauck & Baker. “I’m immensely grateful to be in an enriching work environment. I’m looking forward to growing here, not only as a writer and professional, but as a Christ-follower as well. I’m enjoying seeing the difference that Mauck & Baker serves to make in their cases. They care deeply about their clients’ issues and I’m privileged with the task of sharing their stories with the public.”
Stephanie began her work at Mauck & Baker in mid-August. Outside of work, she enjoys spontaneous road trips, refurbishing old furniture and taking walks through her neighborhood to admire the historic church architecture Ukrainian Village has to offer.
